The Spanish upside down question mark (¿) is used at the beginning of a question, while the regular question marks (?) is used at the end. This is the opposite of the way question marks are used in English.
There are a few different ways to type a Spanish upside down question mark on a computer.
On a PC, you can use the Alt code 168. Hold down the Alt key and type 168 on the numeric keypad. Release the Alt key and the upside down question mark will appear.
On a Mac, you can use the keyboard shortcut Option + Shift + ?. Hold down the Option and Shift keys and press the ? key. Release the keys and the upside down question mark will appear.
If you are using a word processor, such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs, you can insert a Spanish upside down question mark by going to the Insert menu and selecting Symbol. In the Symbol dialog box, select the "Latin-1" font and scroll down to find the upside down question mark. Click on the upside down question mark and click the Insert button.
Here are some examples of how to use Spanish upside down question marks:
¿Cómo estás? (How are you?)
¿Qué hora es? (What time is it?)
¿Dónde está el baño? (Where is the bathroom?)
Note that Spanish upside down question marks are not used in all Spanish-speaking countries. In some countries, such as Mexico, a regular question mark is used at the beginning and end of questions.
