Introductions and Greetings
はじめまして (hajimemashite) - Nice to meet you.
こんにちは (konnichiwa) - Hello / Good afternoon.
こんばんは (konbanwa) - Good evening.
お元気ですか (ogenki desu ka) - How are you?
元気です (genki desu) - I'm fine.
お元気ですね (ogenki desu ne) - You look well.
よろしくお願いします (yoroshiku onegai shimasu) - Nice to meet you / Please take care of me.

Personal Information
名前はなんですか (namae wa nan desu ka) - What is your name?
名前は (namae wa) - My name is.
どこからきましたか (doko kara kimashita ka) - Where do you come from?
わたしは (watashi wa) - I am from.
何歳ですか (nan sai desu ka) - How old are you?
歳です (sai desu) - I am years old.
何をしてますか (nani o shiteimasu ka) - What do you do?
学生です (gakusei desu) - I am a student.
会社員です (kaishain desu) - I am a company employee.

Phrases
もう一度言ってもらえますか (mou ichido itte moraemasuka) - Can you say that again, please?
ゆっくり話してください (yukkuri hanashite kudasai) - Please speak slowly.
わかりました (wakarimashita) - I understand.
わかりません (wakarimasen) - I don't understand.
ありがとうございます (arigatou gozaimasu) - Thank you.
どういたしまして (dou itashimashite) - You're welcome.

Grammar Notes

The polite particle "お願いします (onegai shimasu)" is used to make a request.
