Objectives:
Students will be able to identify and use the present perfect tense to describe past experiences and achievements.
Students will be able to form and use questions in the present perfect tense.
Students will be able to read and comprehend a text in the present perfect tense.
Students will be able to produce a written summary of a text in the present perfect tense.
Materials:
Whiteboard or chart paper
Markers

Text in the present perfect tense
Procedure:1. Introduction (5 minutes)
* Greet students and engage them in a short conversation about their past experiences.
* Ask students if they have ever used the present perfect tense before. If so, elicit examples from them.
2. Present Perfect Tense (10 minutes)
* Explain the concept of the present perfect tense as describing an action or event that started in the past and continues to the present or had a result in the present.
* Show students the structure of the present perfect tense: has/have + past participle.
* Provide examples of present perfect tense sentences.
3. Forming Questions in the Present Perfect Tense (10 minutes)
* Explain that questions in the present perfect tense are formed by inverting the subject and the auxiliary verb (have/has).
* Show students the structure of a present perfect tense question: Has/Have + subject + past participle?
* Provide examples of present perfect tense questions.
4. Reading and Comprehension (15 minutes)
* Distribute a text in the present perfect tense to students.
* Have students read the text silently.
* Lead a class discussion to check students' understanding of the text, focusing on identifying present perfect tense verbs and answering questions about the text in the present perfect tense.
5. Writing a Summary (15 minutes)
* Explain that students will write a summary of the text they read.
* Remind students of the key points of the text and the present perfect tense structure.
